Seven signs it's time for me (and you) to get out of retail

Seven signs it's time for me (and you) to get out of retail:

7.) You spend half your paycheck in gas and lunch.

6.) Your friends always know where to find you… and have started to come hang out beside your register.

5.) You have had to fight customers for the last black clearance halter. They do not seem to care that you've been guarding that shirt like your own child, and that you had actually stashed it behind the cash register.

4.) Your boss is telling you about the last time the store was robbed. You are not comforted by the instruction to stay calm and try to slink out the back door.

3.) You have had to stop a fight in the check-out line.

2.) You can recognize pain in the ass customers by face and/or name, and they recognize you. Mutual grimaces are exchanged.

1.) One day you go into work, and you're older than your manager.

Happy Easter

Last night we all went to the Easter vigil mass, and then this morning we found our "Easter Baskets" on the table.  Mom had put out chocolate bunnies by everyone's plate and I got a pair of socks with rabbits on them.

Good thing it's rain boot weather.

It's a sunny day here in Poughkeepsie, and even though the Dodge still reeks of last night's fast food, I think this is the perfect day to drive around with the windows down and get some McD's.
Lent is over, McD's here I come!
